
Replacement guarantee
In order for the replacement guarantee to apply, you must register your personal information on your OPUS card.
Should your card be lost, stolen or damaged, and upon presenting proof of purchase of your transit fares, your remaining fare balance will be fully restored onto a new OPUS card, without charge. However, a service charge will be required to obtain the new OPUS card.
- If you pay the full fare, you must fill out a registration form for the replacement guarantee to apply. Complete details will be available from this website by the end of fall 2008.
- If you pay the intermediate or reduced fare, the replacement guarantee automatically applies to you, as your OPUS card is personalized with your photo and contains your personal information.

With the receipt for your fare purchase on hand, go to one of the OPUS card issuing locations to have your personalized OPUS card replaced. The new card will contain the fare balance that remained on your OPUS card when it was lost or stolen.
