Once you have your new fare card, you need only pass your OPUS next to the card reader located on bus fare collection boxes, on métro turnstiles or on commuter train station validation equipment.
Your OPUS card functions whenever it is in close proximity to any validation equipment, so there is no need to press it directly against it. Audio signals and lights will indicate that your card was validated by the fare control equipment.
